Cloud Native Computing
What is cloud-native and cloud-native applications, CNCF and more!
Definition
In application development, the term cloud-native refers to a set of practices that deploy cloud computing. "Cloud native technologies empower organizations to build and run scalable applications in modern, dynamic environments such as public, private, and hybrid clouds. Containers, service meshes, microservices, immutable infrastructure, and declarative APIs exemplify this approach." [1]
An organization has to adapt to the changes and grow in the competitive ecosystem that gives them the agility to develop new features, provide 24/7 services and review customer’s feedback for an organization’s growth.
Containers, as the word define to contain or hold things, is used frequently in cloud terminology. A container has (runs) a single application and all its dependencies like a capsule. Characteristic of containers are easy to deploy, manage and fast recovery. They work as an independent module.
